The Russian Orthodox Church is working to restore the many churches that have been damaged during the war in Donbass.

According to the report of the Holy Synod (Journal no. 94), which met in Moscow yesterday, it has received applications to restore 152 churches so far.

Most of the given churches are located on the territory of the Severodonetsk, Donetsk, and Gorlovka Dioceses.

In late June, representatives of the Financial and Economic Department of the Moscow Patriarchate visited the churches on the ground, and work began in 12 churches deemed most in need of restoration. The work was fully completed in six churches by the end of September.

Panogiotis: Thank you for that information. Additionally to it, not all Ukrainians are Orthodox. Besides the schismatic OCU, which is persecuting the canonical Church, there are Uniates and Protestants. The Uniates come from Western Ukraine, which has been the heartland of the current nazi ideology in Ukraine since WW2. They don't hide their hatred for the Orthodox in those western cities. There are also reports that "Ukrainian" forces are using Orthodox churches as army bases, thus making them targets. Someday all this will come out in detail--but will anyone listen?

God bless the Russian Orthodox Church for doing this. As I have said before, I do not believe that Orthodox Christian Soldiers on either side would intentionally damage our Orthodox Churches (It could be collateral accidental damage). And I stated before that there are non-Orthodox soldiers fighting..... Do a Google search on this: Al-Qaeda and Isis terrorists recruited to go to Ukraine. It appears based on alleged internet reports that many Al-Qaeda / Isis terrorists have allegedly been recruited to go to the Ukraine to fight Russia and are allegedly being paid to fight. My oh my! Will the mainstream Western news investigate this? What do you think? For those who do not know history, Al-Qaeda was allegedly created by "Western intelligence" in Afghanistan (when the Soviets were there) and at that time Al-Qaeda was called the Mujahideen, who fought the Soviets. Osama bin Laden was allegedly part of the Mujahideen and allegedly in Afghanistan. Who do you think created Isis in Syria, which destabilized and plunged Syria into a civil war? Syria was at relative peace until Islamic terrorists came along. Who financed the creation of Isis and other Islamic terrorists in Syria? A lot of questions my friends.....Do not believe everything that Western propaganda says against Russia. The devious internationalists are using divide and conquer tactics. Remember how they schemed and conspired and planned for years to overthrow the Romanov Orthodox Monarchy, and then finally the sinister ones succeeded. I urge and beg my Orthodox brothers and sisters to investigate and research and study carefully yourself and come to your own conclusion. Don't be brainwashed. I am not anyone's puppet, and I just try to speak the truth as I see it. Almighty God shows Mercy on those who speak the truth and on those who Fear Him. Glory be to our God! Just my humble opinion.
