New York, October 21, 2022
Orthodox Christians Pro-Life held another prayerful protest outside an abortuary in Brooklyn on Saturday, October 15.
As at several previous molebens, the prayers were led by His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America.
Several groups of passers-by tried to interrupt the group’s prayers. One man blew marijuana smoke in the participants’ faces, until the nearby cops put a stop to it. One man started speaking to the youngest participant, Maryam, telling her she was brainwashed and that she needed to break free from the Orthodox group.
After Vladyka Michael arrived, the group was able to pray the moleben peacefully, though Vladyka’s homily at the end was also interrupted by pro-abortion passers-by:
Abp. Michael calls on everyone to join Orthodox pro-life activities, and on November 12, the Zoe for Life Pregnancy Resource Center will be opened in his hometown of Binghamton, New York, to which Orthodox Christians Pro-Life has donated $500.
