Antiochian Synod elects new Metropolitan of North America

The Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Antioch, gathered in session in Balamand, Lebanon, today, elected a new Metropolitan for the Archdiocese of North America.

The Patriarchate reports:

The Holy Antiochian Synod convened in Balamand elected His Eminence the Most Reverend Metropolitan Saba (Isber), Archbishop of Bosra Hauran and Jabal al-Arab, as Metropolitan over the Archdiocese of New York and All North America.
