Mt. Athos: search underway for missing monk

Authorities on Mt. Athos are currently searching for a monk who has been reported missing.

Monk George K., 60, from the Holy Cell of St. Artemios of the Great Lavra went missing yesterday, April 4. His disappearance was reported to the police at noon by an elder of the Holy Cell, reports Romfea.

Police officers are searching for Fr. George with a specially trained dog and with the assistance of the fire department and volunteers.
