Patriarch John of Antioch to visit America in July

His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East will visit America in July.

The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America announced last week that the Patriarch will attend the Archdiocesan Convention to be held in Phoenix in July.

The 56th Biennial Convention, hosted by St. George Antiochian Church in Phoenix, will be held July 23-30. Guest speakers include Yelena Popovic, the director of the hugely popular film Man of God, about St. Nektarios the Wonderworker.

The leaders “appeal to the conscience of all the people of good will to advocate on behalf of the Syrian in order to put an end to their misery and enable them to live in dignity as envisioned by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” and call on governments and other organizations to send speedy relief to the Syrian people.
