St. John the Forerunner Orthodox Pro-Life Society will hold a prayer service and rally in New York City this Friday, June 9.

And 2 weeks later, on the first anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade on Saturday, June 24, His Eminence Archbishop Michael of the Orthodox Church in America will serve another pro-life service.

This week Friday, June 9 at 12:30pm, the moleben for an end to abortion will be served by Abbot Zosimas (Krampis) of ROCOR near the Early Options abortion “clinic” at 124 E 40th St., New York, NY 10016.

After the service, Orthodox Christians Pro-Life will walk to the main building of the New York Public Library (476 5th Ave, New York, NY 10018), where a rally will be held on the steps at 2 pm. The rally will be an educational event, distributing information on abortion through signs and pamphlets, and participants will also offer prayers to God for an end to abortion in our land.

Both locations are in the very center of Manhattan, and these events are a great opportunity to witness to the truth.

The first event at the Public Library was held on December 1, 2021, the day when the Supreme Court started hearing Dobbs vs. Jackson, which eventually resulted in the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

Watch this short video of Fr. Mark Hodges' sermon at the event:

Though Roe. v. Wade has been overturned, the pro-life movement continues working to make New York a pro-life state.

And on the very day of the anniversary of the overturning of Roe, His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey will lead a street prayer service near an abortuary in NYC.

To participate please contact the Pro-Life Society via tel. 917-428-3560 or email.

St. John the Forerunner Pro-Life Society also calls on Orthodox Christians outside New York City to celebrate overturning the Roe vs. Wade nationwide. Fill out this form to join the movement.

The Society has released a video within the Pro-Life Reflections Project, in which it proposes St. Constantine the Great as one of the Heavenly patrons of the pro-life movement, because his legal actions figuratively speaking opened the door for Christians to end the practices of pagan world, including legal abortions. Likewise, the overturning of Roe opens a door for us to end abortion again, to return Christian values in legislation again. St. John the Forerunner Orthodox Pro-Life Society invites everyone to be a part of this movement and to join to the sacred and peaceful fight for life.

Besides street activities and educational programs, Orthodox Christians Pro-Life help women in crises pregnancies.

In particular, there is a single mother of two who is currently pregnant with twin boys. The Pro-Life Society has paid some of her past due bills, but she and her children still need help to cover their rent and other basic needs.

Please, visit their baby registry to help. Help the Pro-Life Society show Mom K. she isn’t alone in her problems.

Another way to help them overcome their difficulties is to donate to the Pro-Life Society that helps this family.
