Romania: 20,000 faithful process with relics of St. John the New of Suceava (+VIDEOS)

More than 20,000 Orthodox faithful participated in a procession with the relics of one of the most beloved Romanian saints yesterday.

The Path of the Saints procession in honor of St. John the New of Suceava, the patron of the local cathedral, was led by His Eminence Archbishop Calinic of Suceava, together with His Grace Bishop Andrei of Covasna, and His Grace Bishop Damaschin of Dornei, reports the Basilica News Agency.

After the procession, Vigil was served for the Great Martyr George, the patron of the church at the Monastery of St. John the New.

The monastery celebrations, centered on the feast of the Translation of the Relics of St. John the New to Suceavea tomorrow, continue through Sunday. Tens of thousands of pilgrims are expected overall.
