360° virtual tour of St. Tikhon’s, America’s oldest Orthodox monastery

A new 360° virtual tour of the Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk in northeastern Pennsylvania, complete with audio recordings of the St. Tikhon’s Monastery Choir, has been launched.

Founded in 1905 by St. Tikhon of Moscow during his time as a missionary bishop in America, St. Tikhon’s is the oldest Orthodox monastery in America. The Divine Liturgy has been celebrated daily there ever since.

The virtual tour includes high quality 360° photography of the monastery church, including the relics of St. Alexis (Toth) and inside the altar, the monastery cemetery, bell tower, bookstore, museum, chapels, outdoor shrines, icon studio, and much more.

The tour is an exciting opportunity to explore the monastery “where saints have walked.”

The monastery’s iconography program launched its pilot year last year under the tutelage of iconographers Anton and Ekaterina Daineko. The seminary, named in honor of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, is the oldest Orthodox seminary in America, celebrating its 85th anniversary this year.
