His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Konitsa, 85, was rushed to Hatzikosta Hospital in Ioannina in serious condition yesterday.
The Metropolitan was transferred late in the afternoon and is undergoing all necessary medical examinations, while immediate surgery is very likely, reports Romfea.
Colleagues from the metropolis are with him in the hospital, and Metropolitan Maximos of Ioannina has also visited him.
The Metropolitan suffered a mild stroke and stayed in the hospital for three days in August 2022.
