VIDEO: Our Orthodox Life is Union and Communion with the Living God-Man, Jesus

A Homily for the Second Sunday of Great Lent

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Igumen Seraphim Bell celebrated the Divine Liturgy for an English-speaking community at the Church of St. Nicholas in Novaya Sloboda in Moscow.

His homily focused on the life and theology of St. Gregory Palamas, who was commemorated the following day, on the second Sunday of Great Lent. Fr. Seraphim spoke of how the Church confirmed that St. Gregory’s teaching was, in fact, what the Church has always experienced and taught—that “our Orthodox life is union and communion with the living God-Man, Jesus.
