Metropolitan Kyrillos of Moschonisia, a retired hierarch of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, reposed in the Lord yesterday, May 26.
The former hierarch of Imbros and Tenedos was 83. His funeral will be held on Thursday at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Imbros, reports the Orthodoxia News Agency.
He served as an ordained cleric for 58 years, including 40 as a bishop.

The Metropolitan was born Georgios Dragounis in the village of Agridia in Imbros on January 9, 1942.
He graduated from the Theological School of Halki in 1967.
He was ordained to the diaconate in 1967 by Metropolitan Maximos of Stavroupolis and served as Grand Archdeacon of the Patriarchate. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1985 by Metropolitan Bartholomew of Philadelphia.
On October 27, 1985, he was consecrated titular Metropolitan of Seleucia.
On October 13, 1994, he was promoted to active Metropolitan with the same title.
On September 5, 2002, he was elected Metropolitan of Imbros.
On March 9, 2020, he was elected Metropolitan of Moschonisia.
