The primates of the Orthodox Church in America and the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishoprics will serve together in Washington, D.C. next month.

The concelebration between His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of Washington and All America and Canada and His Beatitude Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia will formally mark the OCA’s recognition of the autocephaly of the Macedonian Church, the OCA reports.

The OCA Synodal decision to recognize MOC autocephaly was first announced at the All-American Council last month.

The service will be held at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and will be blessed with the presence of the myrrh-streaming Hawaiian Iveron Icon of the Mother of God and relics of the newly canonized St. Olga of Kwethluk.
