St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy, Michigan, held a retreat over the weekend of October 4–6, featuring talks by Protopresbyter John Chakos, who personally knew the highly venerated Elder Ephraim of Philotheou and Arizona and helped him in the founding of the Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery in Saxonburg, near Pittsburgh.
