The European Diocese of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishopric has acquired new buildings for two parish communities.
On October 15, the St. Stefan Macedonian Orthodox community in Utrecht, Netherlands, represented by rector Fr. Zachariah and parish council members, signed a purchase agreement officially acquiring a property in the city of, reports liturgija.mk.
This building will be repurposed and renovated into an Orthodox church dedicated to St. Stephen the First Martyr and Archdeacon. With this acquisition, the faithful of the community now have a spiritual home where they can gather for Divine Liturgy, prayer, and fellowship in faith.

Just days later, on October 18, the parish, filled with gratitude and zeal, organized a cleaning and organizing event for the newly acquired building’s yard and surrounding area.
Additionally, on October 17, the Macedonian Orthodox Church community in Stuttgart reported that, in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Pimen, a purchase agreement was officially signed for the St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Stuttgart.
The agreement was signed between the German representatives of the former church community and the delegation of the Macedonian Orthodox Church community, led by rector Fr. Aleksandar Novoselski and members of the church board.
“Today, we create so that tomorrow we will have history,” reflected the St. Cyril and Methodius community.
The European Diocese of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishopric currently oversees 42 parishes across 14 countries, according to its official website.
