An Antiochian Orthodox parish in California was blessed to receive 40 new souls into the Church by Holy Baptism over the weekend.

Archpriest Paul Baba, rector of Holy Virgin Mary Church in West Sacramento wrote on Saturday:

Glory to God! Such a beautiful day witnessing holy baptisms. Our little church by the grace of God received 40 baptized souls out of our so far 50+ catechumens for 2025. Congratulations to all the newly illumined and their godparents †

This joyous event is the latest manifestation of the growth that the Orthodox Church has been experiencing in America and throughout the Western world in recent years.
