The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Lemnos and Agios Eustratios has completed its fifth annual Meals of Love charitable initiative, distributing 200 hot meals to people in need ahead of Christmas.
The program represents a partnership between the diocese and the Lemnos School of Advanced Vocational Training. Instructors and students at the vocational school prepared the meals, which were then distributed through the island’s parishes, reports the Orthdoxia News Agency.

Metropolitan Hierotheos of Lemnos and Agios Eustratios expressed his gratitude to all participants in the effort, emphasizing that practical love for one’s neighbor represents a living witness to the Christian faith.
The diocese commended school’s director, administration, instructors and students, as well as Lemnos Hospital Administrator Dimitrios Manos, for their spirit of volunteerism and social sensitivity.
The charitable meal distribution took place during the days leading up to Christmas, continuing a tradition the diocese and vocational school have maintained for five consecutive years.
