U.S.A., January 2, 2025
A new weekly podcast aimed at supporting Orthodox parishes will launch this year, offering free practical resources for church communities. The Church Roadmap Podcast will air Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, reports the Orthodox Church in America’s Diocese of New York and New Jersey.
The podcast will address five key areas of parish life: servant leadership, stewardship and engagement, vision and strategic planning, spiritual formation and religious education, and unity in Christ.
The content draws on more than thirty years of work with over one thousand parishes and ministries, along with three years of research that produced the 626-page book A Roadmap for American Churches and People of Faith: W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do?).
Both the book and podcast are offered at no cost.
Episodes will run 45 to 60 minutes and are designed to align with Orthodox theology and ecclesiology while supporting parish priests, leadership teams, and diocesan hierarchs. The program aims to provide practical frameworks for addressing common parish challenges. Viewers can submit questions to be answered during episodes.
The podcast will be available through Stewardship Calling on YouTube and Facebook.
