The Church of St. Elisabeth the Grand Duchess in Wallasey, England had the joy of welcoming several new members into the Orthodox Church on the forefeast of Theophany.

Five adults were baptized at the church on January 18. “The newly illumined come from very different backgrounds, with some traveling many miles to come to Divine Services, all united in their love for Christ our Saviour,” writes the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

Parish rector Archpriest Paul Elliott encouraged the new Orthodox Christians in their new lives as soldiers of Christ and reminded them that this means to “always carry the light of Christ into every aspect of their lives.”

OrthoChristian has reported on mass Baptisms at the Church of St. Elisabeth several times before, including in January 2024, January 2025, and July 2025.
