The newly established Three Holy Hierarchs Macedonian Orthodox parish in Fulda, Germany, marked a milestone on February 15, with its first episcopal Divine Liturgy.

His Eminence Metropolitan Pimen of Europe presided over the Liturgy for the feast of the Meeting of the Lord, concelebrated by European clergy, the diocese reports.

In his archpastoral address, Met. Pimen spoke about the profound meaning of the Meeting of the Lord, the encounter between the Old and New Testaments, the meeting of man with God, and the call for every believer to receive Christ in his heart with purity, faith and love. He emphasized the importance of unity, prayerful communion and living connection with the Church, especially in the diaspora, where preserving the faith and national identity represents a spiritual and moral obligation.

Numerous faithful participated in the divine service with special reverence and gratitude. Many of those present received Holy Communion, witnessing to their living faith and spiritual connection with the Macedonian Church.

The establishment of the Three Holy Hierarchs mission in Fulda represents a significant and historic step in organizing the church life of Macedonians in Germany. The European Diocese, which covers 14 countries, now includes 15 parishes in Germany with the addition of this new mission. This newly formed community will serve as a spiritual refuge, a place of prayer, liturgical assembly and preservation of Orthodox faith and Macedonian tradition, the diocese writes.

Following the Liturgy, a joint celebration and cultural program followed, filled with joy, brotherly love and fellowship, in the spirit of Orthodox faith and Macedonian spiritual heritage.

In October, OrthoChristian reported that the Macedonian Orthodox Diocese of Europe acquired new church buildings in Germany and the Netherlands.
