Prison ministry is explicitly mentioned in the Gospel reading for Judgment Sunday, what first ushers us into the first phase of the Fast. There is no way around it. Christ expects this of us.
But Orthodox Christian Prison Ministries knows the unique challenges of prison ministry that keep us from following Christ’s commandment.
