The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem has completed the printing of a full Arabic-language Holy Bible, comprising both the Old and New Testaments, for free distribution to its faithful and to Arabic-speaking Christians more broadly.
The project was carried out under the initiative and personal support of Patriarch Theophilos III, in cooperation with the Bible Society of the Holy Land, the Patriarchate reports.
The Patriarchate, whose lay flock is estimated to be around 90–95% Arabic-speaking, said the Bibles would be distributed free of charge to its Arabic-speaking faithful and to all Arabic-speaking Christians.
