An Orthodox coffee and tea shop under the patronage of St. Nektarios of Aegina recently opened in the Poconos.
Nettarios’ Coffee and Tea was blessed on Friday evening, September 18, by Fr. Vjekoslav Jovičić of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and the grand opening was held the next day.
The shop, owned and run by Rocco Belotti and Jason Balbuena, features dozens of coffees and teas from around the world and light meals.

“We want to create a chill atmosphere, cultivate a vibe where people can come in, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, human connection,” they told Pocono Record.
The café has an icon corner with its patron St. Nektarios, the Theotokos, the Archangel Michael, the Prophet Jonah, and more.
In addition to serving drinks, Belotti and Balbuena are interested in fostering human connection. They emphasize that there are no screens in the café—customers will talk to an actual person. “Get a cup of coffee, cup of healing for mind, body, and soul, free from the horrors of the outside world beyond comprehension.”

“We’ll ask you what you like to drink at home, and we will have the drink for you,” they say.
And if you follow them on social media, “you won’t see any AI slop.”
This is at least second Orthodox coffee shop in Pennsylvania under the patronage of St. Nektarios. In February, OrthoChristian also reported on King & Saint Café in Shippensburg.
