Parishes across America from various jurisdictions continue to experience rapid growth, with new catechumens, newly illumined Orthodox Christians, and large-scale catechism classes.
On Saturday, September 12, nine people were received into holy Orthodoxy at St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Macon, Georgia (Orthodox Church in America). Eight were received by Baptism and one by Chrismation. The newly illumined are named Raphael, Isaac, Adam, Emelia, Paisios, John, Emelia, Ignatia, and Michael.
On Saturday, September 13, seven people were chrismated into the Orthodox Church at Christ the Savior Orthodox Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Orthodox Church in America). The newly illumined are named Gabriel, Herodian, Nathanael, Anna, Enoch, and Emmelia. Last week, OrthoChristian reported on the start of a new mission parish launched by Christ the Savior.

On Friday, September 18, St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine, California, held its first Orthodox Christianity 101 catechetical class, which had more than 200 people attending in person and online.
On Saturday, September 19, another 16 people were baptized at All Saints Antiochian Orthodox Church in Raleigh, North Carolina—a parish that OrthoChristian has reported on several times.
On Sunday, September 20, five people were received into the Church by Baptism at Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The newly illumined are named Joshua, Emilia, Paul, Elizabeth, and John.

At Holy Theophany Orthodox Church in Colorado Springs (Orthodox Church in America), 27 more people became catechumens in the months of August and September. OrthoChristian previously reported on the explosive growth at this parish.
