Macon, Georgia, October 7, 2026
His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Fort Worth led a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Macon (Orthodox Church in America) on Sunday, October 4, marking the parish’s 30th anniversary.
In a post about the event, the parish says it was a joyful day as clergy, parishioners, friends, and guests gathered with His Grace to give thanks for all that God has done and to look ahead with hope to the years to come.
The parish says that for thirty years, God has sustained the community and blessed the work of those who planted, built, served, prayed, taught, and worshiped there. Fr. Theophan Buck has served as rector since 2010.
The celebration was made even more special when altar servers Timothy Marble and James Andrews were tonsured as readers. The parish says it rejoices with them and prays that God will strengthen them as they continue to serve His Church.
The parish closes by asking that God grant many years to Bishop Gerasim, to Readers Timothy and James, to the clergy, founders, benefactors, and all the faithful of St. Innocent Orthodox Church.
The Hierarchical Liturgy was livestreamed on YouTube:
Nine people were received into the Church at St. Innocent’s last month.
