A Georgian Orthodox church dedicated to St. Nino has been consecrated in Antwerp, giving the local Georgian community in Belgium a church of its own.
On October 25, His Grace Bishop Dositheos Bogveradze of Belgium and Holland and His Eminence Archbishop Luka Lomidze of Sagarejo and Ninotsminda consecrated the altar of the church, reports the Georgian Patriarchate.
Both diocesan and visiting clergy concelebrated with the hierarchs.
The parish community was formed in 2004. Archpriest David Maglaperidze, who has led the parish for several years, has been appointed official rector of the church.
