Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II: "We will pray for our brothers, the Ukrainian people"

The head of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All Georgia has expressed his concern over the recent events in Kiev and has called upon his flock to pray together for the Ukrainian people, reports Novosti-Gruzia.

"We are concerned about the recent processes in Kiev and are worrying very much because of the existing situation. So we are blessing our flock to pray for the peace in the Ukraine.

In our turn, we will pray and ask the Lord to turn His Eyes on our brothers, the Ukrainian people, so that they may with peace overcome this difficult period," said in the statement of Patriarch Ilia.
