Joint prayers in the Diocese of Simferopol to St. Luke of Crimea for increase of love in the Ukraine

Simferopol, March 10, 2014

With the blessing of Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea, in connection with the ongoing events in the Autonomous republic of Crimea, prayer services for increase of love and peace on the Crimean land with reading of the Akathist and supplicatory canon to confessor and hierarch St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky) will be performed in all churches and monasteries of the Diocese of Simferopol.

The services will be celebrated before Icons of St. Luke every day from Monday to Saturday at 11.00 until further notice of the ruling bishop, reports Patriarchia.ru with the reference to the Crimea and Simferopol Diocese's website.

On February 19, His Eminence Archbishop Metrophanes (Mitrofan) of Lugansk and Alchevsk led a prayer service before the Lugansk Icon of the Mother of God with the clergy of the Lugansk Archdiocese concelebrating.

There's also St. Gury Karpov, St. Luke's predecessor from the 19th century, who is a fervent intercessor.

Is there a service for all saints of Crimea?
