Kaliningrad, May 17, 2014

Today on the Victory (“Pobedy”) Square of Kaliningrad four mobile (field) churches, intended for the dislocated in the Arctic military units, are to be consecrated, reports Interfax-Religion.

The construction of the mobile churches was funded by the Omofor Kaliningrad regional charity fund for support to Security and Protection of law veterans and invalids. The fund received this request from the administration of the Railroad troops of the armed forces, reports the Baltic Fleet’s press service.

Representatives of the Baltic Fleet’s command authority, the Kaliningrad region’s government and the Kaliningrad administration as well as the Omofor fund will be present at the ceremony, headed by Bishop Seraphim of the Baltics.

Over 10 years of its activity the Omofor fund, led by the retired vice-admiral Alexander Brazhnik, gave 25 mobile churches to the Naval fighting ships and the Ministry of Defense’s military units.
