On October 28, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill met with president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and head of the Samaritan's Purse charity, Franklin Graham. The Patriarch recalled having met Franklin's father, Billy Graham, spoke of the declining moral values in the west, and thanked Mr. Graham for his humanitarian aid in Donbass. Franklin thanked the Patriarch for his strong moral voice and for Russia's role in protecting Christians in Syria, and expressed a desire to work together with the Russian Church to reach youth with a message of strong, traditional moral values.

Son of legendary American evangelist Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, head of the Samaritan’s Purse charity organization, is in Moscow this week and has met with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk. Last week, Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev, the foreign minister (so to speak) of the Russian Orthodox Church, visited Billy Graham to wish him a happy 96th birthday.
