Many many thanks to all the generous readers of OrthoChristian.com!
We have previously introduced its readers to a young family from Belgorod, Russia that has been struggling with serious medical conditions for several years. Our readers have responded, and the family has received a tremendous amount of help.
Elena, the mother of the family, has expressed her heartfelt and tearful gratitude to us many times, and has asked us to convey this gratitude to all of our readers as well, and to give an update on their situation.
Thanks to the many generatious donations received over the past few weeks, Anna, Elena's younger daughter, who has suffered from inexplicable epileptic seizures since she was 1, was able to come see specialists in Moscow recently and stay as long as needed for the doctors to determine a course of action for treating her for the foreseeable future.
Doctors have strongly advised that they get a portable monitoring apparatus for Anna's heart, and a second for her brain. This will allow Elena and Anna to return home and reunite with daughter Arina who has been living with a teacher while her mom and sister visit doctors in various cities throughout Russia, and to monitor Anna's progress from home, with doctors adjusting her diet and lifestyle based on the information from the apparatuses. This will give Anna the best chance of avoiding in the future the terrible seizures that sometimes leave her barely able to move and to eat.
This will also give little Anna a chance to recover from the unfortunate damage that has been caused to her kidneys, liver, and heart from the years of previous medication she was taking.
Thanks to all of your generous donations, Elena has already purchased one of the apparatuses, but it would be IMMENSELY helpful if they could afford to buy the second as well.
Unfortunately, the necessary apparatus is expensive - about $2,500. Therefore, we are asking you to please share Elena and Anna's story with as many people as you can, and should you feel so moved to donate again, that would of course be welcomed!

Please note that Paypal is faster, and more economically efficient, as GoFundMe takes a percentage of every donation, but however you are able to help is greatly appreciated!
