The Kiev-based Union of Orthodox Journalists website has been under attack by hackers since yesterday, the Union reports.

The site went down just after the Ecumenical Patriarchate made its announcement yesterday in which it declared its entrance into communion with Ukrainian schismatic bodies, and the intense cyber-attacks have continued since then.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists supports the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the headship of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine and has been very active in reporting on the words and activities of the Ukrainian schismatics and the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

The Union’s technical support is taking all possible measure to resume normal operations. The site is currently online, as of 11:25 AM (Moscow time), October 12, but it is still under attack.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists staff is continuing its work and posting its articles on its various social networks, including Telegram, Facebook, Twitter,  Instagram, and YouTube.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists has been attacked before. Members of the C-14 Ukrainian nationalist group attacked the Kiev offices of the Union in January for what it called “anti-Ukrainian activities.”
