A new immersive video of Saturday’s cross procession in honor of the St. Vladimir the Great and the 1,031st anniversary of the Baptism of Rus’ has been published by the Ukrainian TV channel First Cossack.

The VR enabled video, of the 300,000 strong cross procession, makes it feel like you’re right there, allowing you to turn the camera around 360 degrees, experiencing the cross procession in a fuller way.

The short, six-minute video takes you all the way from the moleben atop St. Vladimir’s Hill, to the walls of the Kiev Caves Lavra, and through the Trinity Church Gatehouse directly within the blessed and God-protected Upper Lavra, ending with the majestic Dormition Cathedral in the background.

The All-Ukrainian Cross Procession is traditionally held every year to commemorate the feast of the Baptism of Rus’ by Equal-to-the-Apostles St. Vladimir. The procession has grown in number, gaining an additional one hundred thousand people each year since 2017. This year, via this video, you have the opportunity to feel as if you’re one of those three hundred thousand faithful at the Baptismal Font of the Church of Rus’ — God-saved Kiev, the Mother of Russian Cities!
