The "Good Health for Villages" campaign is celebrating one year since its launching. Coordinated by Rev. Archimandrite Ciprian Gradinaru, almost 30 volunteers of the Chapel of the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation, among whom are 11 physicians, 11 social workers and auxiliary staff, visited localities administratively belonging to the Archdiocese of Bucharest in order to help their fellow men in need.
More than 5000 patients of all ages have consulted with physicians specializing in internal medicine, nutrition, diabetes, cardiology – EKG, psychiatry for adults and children, paediatrics, oncology and stomatology, during the thirty campaigns organized so far.
The "Good Health for Villages” campaign began on September 3, 2015, with the blessing of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, as a result of the protocol of cooperation concluded between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Ministry for Health focused on the aged and on those of low economic status.
