There is much—if not everything—we can learn from our Mother, the Theotokos. Her humility, meekness, gentleness, purity of soul and body are given to us as a lesson and example. We must not only admire Her but strive to be like Her.
While in comfort we often distort the image of God, but the genuine picture begins to change when we feel absolutely helpless and alone.

Without personal, living communion with Christ, our faith is based solely on other people’s knowledge. In effect, we do not experience our own spiritual life but cling to the experience of other people who testify that they have seen God and communicate with Him.
God is not limited by anyone or anything, and therefore He always acts in unfathomable ways.
How can a man restore his spiritual peace if he’s lost it? How can he preserve it in an environment of uncertainty, overwhelmed by all sorts of fears?
Why is God silent? This is a question we’re used to asking everyone, not just ourselves. If God is silent, there are definite reasons for it. But what if it’s not about God, but about us?
