The meeting between the primates of the Constantinople and the Russian Churches is taking place

The meeting between His All Holiness Patriarch Bartholemew of Constantinople and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia is taking place today in Istanbul, Turkey, reports Patriarchia.ru.

The last meeting between the two primates took place at the Assembly of Primates of Autocephalous Orthodox Churches that was held January 22–27, 2016 in Chambese, Switzerland.

Before that, the two Patriarchs have met: from March 6–8, 2014, during the course of the Assembly of Primates of Autocephalous Orthodox Churches in Instanbul, Turkey; on October 7, 2013 in Podgorice, Montenegro; and during a visit of His All Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew to the Moscow Patriarchate from May 22–23, 2010, in tandem with an official visit by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to the realm of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople, July 4–6, 2009.
