The Romanian pro-life organization Pro Vita Iași is running a large-scale food drive for two weeks this month to benefit large families this winter season.

This is the fourth year of the program. The beneficiaries are 147 large families with a total of 1,497 dependent children and adolescents who are enrolled in the St. Stelian Program of Solidarity for Families with Many Children, which Pro Vita Iași launched in 2013.
The campaign is conceived of as a contest of good deeds, according to the Pro Vita press release. The classes that collect the most food will be awarded with pizza.
The food collected will be donated to the beneficiaries on the feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The campaign has increased from 420 students involved at Pascha 2017, to 1,200 in December 2017, and then 7,000 in December 2018.
Pro Vita Iași also participated in the March for Life that took place in 600 cities throughout Romania and Moldova in March of this year.
