A new podcast, “The Orthodox Ethos,” on the Orthodox spiritual life, theology, and worldview is set to launch tomorrow.

“Join Fr. Peter Heers, Orthodox Christian priest, professor, author, speaker, translator and publisher from his Greek mountain village as he explores and presents the distinguishing characteristic of being a Christian: The Orthodox Ethos,” reads the Orthodox Ethos YouTube channel.

“You will be (re)introduced to Christ, the Incarnate and Diachronic Presence of God, in the lives of those who have been purified, illumined and glorified by Him...” the statement continues.

“The snares of the enemy are spread throughout the world. Only the humble can avoid them,” Fr. Peter states in the trailer, quoting St. Anthony the Great. “Only disciples of Extreme Humility. Those who have acquired the distinguishing character of being a Christian: the Orthodox Ethos.”

“I invite you to join me as we explore and present the Orthodox Ethos, the spirit and mindset of those illumined and regenerated in Christ,” Fr. Peter adds.

The podcast will launch tomorrow, on the Old Calendar feast of the Annunciation, with commentary on the feast relative to the current panic surrounding the coronavirus.

From there, the podcast will feature a mix of discussions on the spiritual life, Orthodox teachings, and current events, with new episodes coming out several times a week.

The podcast will be simultaneously available on YouTube and on iTunes and other podcast platforms.
