The quarantine has been officially lifted from the famous Holy Trinity-St. Seraphim Diveyevo Monastery in the Nizhny Novgorod Province, the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing told RIA-Novosti yesterday.
The quarantine was in place since April 25, when the coronavirus was found amongst the nuns of the monastery. The same measures were taken for the village of Diveyevo.
“The quarantine in the St. Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery has been lifted. All necessary sanitary and anti-epidemic measures and a final disinfection have been carried out there. The situation has stabilized,” the Federal Service reported.
However, the quarantine remains in the village.
Earlier it was reported that several nuns of the monastery reposed in the Lord due to complications from the coronavirus.
Church services with the participation of the faithful resumed in Nizhny Novgorod on June 1.
