As OrthoChristian reported yesterday, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro of the Serbian Orthodox Church has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is being treated at the Clinical Center in Podgorica, where doctors say his health is stable and Vladyka feels well.

The Orthodox faithful from around the world have been praying for His Eminence and sending him messages of support since his condition was reported.

And one city in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina has found another way to show its support for Met. Amfilohije, who is one of the most authoritative hierarchs in the Serbian Church.

Yesterday, Twitter user zelenascg1244 posted a photo of a billboard in the center of the city of Trebinje with the Metropolitan’s face and the message: “God bless you, your Trebinje.”

The Metropolis of Montenegro reports this morning His Eminence’s course of treatment and recovery is satisfactory and proceeding according to plan. This morning’s medical report shows that all his vital parameters are within the normal limits. He begins therapeutic treatment today.
