Churches from Five Russian Provinces from a Bird’s Eye View

PHOTO GALLERY

For several years now, Mikhail and Ekaterina Pogorelsky have been doing aerial photography. Their favorite subjects for their art are the churches and monasteries of Russia, to which they have dedicated a separate Instagram account, ChurchesFromAbove. The photographers have kindly provided OrthoChristian.com with the opportunity to introduce our readers to the beauty of God’s churches, taken this fall from a bird’s eye view.

Their complete body of work is available at the site Aerialphoto.ru.

Our God is alive, as well as his flock! Those who tore down every sign of Orthodoxy are dead, as well as their god! Alellujah!

Those pictures of the churches were magnificent. The countryside and the rivers were beautiful. I'm getting old now and my wife of 49 years is ill. But, if I could add one more thing to the "bucket list" it would be to visit some of those places, roll up my sleeves and help wherever it is needed. May God bless the faithful in those towns and villages.
