On Saturday May 22, Orthodox Christians for Life New York will hold a prayer service in front of the ParkMed abortion “clinic” in the very center of the city, just a few blocks from the UN main building.
Since January of this year, molebens for an end to abortion are served monthly with the blessing and support of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America and His Eminence Archbishop Michael personally.
The moleben on May 22 moleben will be served at 800 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10017, at 1:00 PM.
The previous one was served on Saturday, April 24, in front of Planned Parenthood’s abortuary in Manhattan, led by Abp. Michael.

Abp. Michael also served a moleben in February in front of Planned Parenthood’s abortuary in Brooklyn, near Brooklyn Borough Hall.
Orthodox faithful support OCLife New York’s attempts to save innocent lives. Fundraising on GoFundMe has raised more than $1,500, which will be used to support pregnant women in crisis situations, to register as a nonprofit organization, and to make educational pamphlets and signs. The fundraising campaign is still active.
OCLife New York urges anyone who is in a crisis pregnancy or knows someone who is to reach out to the organization, which will help find a family to adopt the child.
The group works in several areas. On Tuesday, May 11, the head of the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform Gregg Cunningham spoke to the volunteers online, sharing his experience of many years of pro-life activities. In particular, Mr. Cunningham explained the importance of using pictures to show the reality of abortion as the barbaric murder of innocents, especially as abortuaries promote the false ideas of “safe” and “comfort” abortions. OCLife New York will make such banners in the nearest future to use them in crowded areas, not only in front of abortion “clinics.”
OCLife New York also helps to bring an Orthodox pro-life presence to the public sphere. The moleben at the Planned Parenthood in Queens in March was written about in a Queens Courier article. While the article is not friendly to pro-lifers, it is a successful step forward as the pictures show the telephone number for people in crisis pregnancies to call, and the article includes other important information.
