New Orthodox press launched

Waymart, Pennsylvania, May 26, 2021

In every generation, the works of the saints and theologians are built upon to provide contemporary people with the fullness of the Gospel. This is the mission of the newest Orthodox publishing company, Fish & Vine.

Instead of just self-publishing his own thesis, Aaron Alford, a graduate of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, is raising funds to provide fresh and emerging Orthodox voices a place to speak. This is a new work for a new generation, preaching the Eternal Faith. Fish & Vine seeks to push the limits of contemporary Christian understanding forward by speaking from its Orthodox roots.

The Divine Logos is a concise Patristic synthesis of the Logos doctrine that goes beyond St. Maximus the Confessor. It seeks to convey the holistic nature of the Christian Faith which has been neglected in modern western confessions.

By pre-ordering The Divine Logos, on Fish & Vine’s Kickstarter, contributions will go to fund future titles and establish a ministry that seeks to build a robust Church in North America.

Pre-order here on Kickstarter and follow Fish & Vine on Instagram and Facebook.

Every little faithful effort counts... in the world-wide satanic princedom... I don't see any reason why people should be outraged about promoting a fine work of a young orthodox author. Go support him.

The best way to self-publish is through Amazon Kindle. It costs basically nothing. But of course everyone will want a hardcopy of this graduate's senior thesis, because it just sounds like a real page-turner. It will be difficult waiting for my first order of a thousand copies. Will he autograph them also?

Hey, John, don't let your head explode, but one of the main members of the OrthoChristian.com team is a graduate of St. Tikhon's... Actually, the professors of St. Tikhon's are quite traditional and committed to conveying Patristic teachings. Aaron wrote this thesis under the guidance of Dr. Harry Boosalis and Dr. David Ford, both of whom are fine Orthodox professors who love the Fathers of the Church.

What is this? Why is orthochristian.com promoting this mans writings? Why would any orthodox Christian want to read a contemporary graduate of OCA’s seminary? It’s ridiculous to believe that the pure teachings of the Holy Fathers will be conveyed in his writings! He wants to “go beyond” the writings of St. Maximus? What a joke!!
