VIDEO: Georgians festively celebrate cancelation of LGBT march

Traditional Georgians took to the streets yesterday to celebrate the cancelation of the Tbilisi Pride “March of Dignity” that was scheduled to take place in the Georgian capital yesterday.

Opponents of the march and the week of LGBT propaganda events leading up to it gathered in the center of Tbilisi to celebrated the failed march with music, songs, and dances, reports RBC.

The event was canceled after thousands gathered in central Tbilisi in protest, with some incidences of violence occurring. Several people were injured, and protestors broke into Tbilisi Pride offices and tore up an LGBT flag.

Opponents of the “March of Dignity” also threw explosives into the courtyard of a NGO building, as Sputnik-Georgia reports with reference to local Georgian media. Journalists and organizers of the march were present during the incident. One girl was injured in the explosion and received medical care.

The Georgian Church has issued several statements in the past few days condemning the violence that has occurred, calling on all to remain prayerful and peaceful, while unequivocally condemning the propagation of immorality and the interference of Western powers in Georgian affairs. The Church promised to deal with any clergy who may have called for violence.

Joseph has a very valid point. Today in Greece people who carry icons and speak about Jesus Christ publicly are attacked by Greek teenagers and young adults! Descendants of the same Greeks that were slaughtered by the Turks, communists and Nazis. These so-called “Greeks“ are attacking the God of their forefathers in the name of “tolerance, love and open mindedness”. Does Georgia want to end up like that?

Actherina, I would suggest taking a long hard look at the Christians in western countries who took your “passive” approach and see the consequences. Today, the parades of the sodomites are everywhere and are extremely violent and offensive towards Christians especially, and to the family in general. Naked men (literally naked) are in these parades with nothing more than a collar around their necks! These same men, and others dressed as priests make piles with crosses and crucifixes and burn them. Sometimes they urinate on the cross before they do so! These parades are funded and promoted by local governments , yet if someone dares to burn the “rainbow” flag, they are arrested and given an outrageous sentence of 50 years! Pedophiles spend less time in prison, think about that for a minute! This is insanity, and we got to this point because the Christians did nothing or did not do enough! You should read the writings of the Holy St. John Chrysostom before you make such comments, because he certainly would not agree with you. Georgia is an ORTHODOX Christian country and I say, encourage and beg my orthodox brothers and sisters in Christ…fight! Fight until your last breath and do not let these evil globalist elites take over your country. Whoever is not with Christ is against Him, including your “Georgian” politicians. “What good is it if a man gains the whole world and loses his soul?” What good is it if you gain the west’s support and money and lose the Holy Orthodox Faith and our sweet Lord Jesus? Fight and never give up! I wish I could be there alongside with you. Much respect!

ACatharina - I get your point. Nothing is ever solved with violence - but it is possible to understand the strength of feeling, and the frustration that a very anti-Christian way of life and propaganda is being imposed on those who don’t want it to infect their families... Here in England it is simply assumed that everyone agrees with the homosexual lifestyle. The supermarket I normally go to had a big sign outside it’s doors on Monday with the rainbow colours behind wording promoting LGBT etc.. No-one is safe from these sexual politics - they are rammed into one’s face at every possible opportunity. I have decided to boycott that shop and will use the markets instead. I can vote with my feet. It is not to say that I hate homosexuals. Of course not. But I don’t believe they have the right to foist their beliefs on others; all the time, everywhere! Georgians have a right to say “no” to these marches. So often, also, these marches have people dressed up in disgusting sad-masochistic dress, and all other unseemly manifestations. No child should have to witness adults behaving in this degraded way. I know a lesbian who also thinks these pride marches are frightful and distances herself from them.

ACatharina: Are they really interested in Christ at all? If they are, then they need to know that you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven with such sins. Christ forgives, but people first have to repent.

The lgbt community certainly won't feel a desire to follow Christ after seeing that celebration. The chances they will ever have such desire are very low...and the last thing they need are Christians treating them with violence and contempt (burning flags, displays of victory on the streets, etc.). I would say the devil won this battle, even with his rainbow-feast cancelled. Forgive me, please.

@ACatharina Burning sodomy flags is holy and virtuous, tearing banners of God is evil. The battle of Christ versus Moloch is a battle between good and evil which mirrors the battle between the angels and the demons above. Every march for sodomy interrupted is a victory for the angels, every march against Molochite human sacrifice disrupted is a loss. This war can only have one victor, and every victory is something to be celebrated.

...is it really worth celebrating? How would christians feel if liberals celebrated their cancelled march for life and tore their banners with Godhead? This is very arrogant and disappointing.
