Alimpy Galika (1685-1763) was a hieromonk, iconographer, engraver, and head of the Lavra’s iconography workshop from 1744 to 1755. He was then blessed to enter into stricter asceticism in the Far Caves and was relieved of his post.
He participated in the painting of the Lavra’s Holy Dormition Cathedral and Trinity Gate Church. Thanks to his great merits and contributions, he was buried in the cathedral.
