Another soup kitchen for the poor and needy has been opened by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Daniil of Vidin, the Vidin Metropolis recently founded and opened a kitchen for those in need in the northwestern town, reports Dobrotoliubie.

The kitchen will operate at the Metropolitan Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker twice a week, on Thursdays and Sunday.

In December 2019, OrthoChristian reported that the Bulgarian Church feeds thousands of people daily with its social kitchens throughout the country.

In May of this year, the Church opened a social rehabilitation and integration center in the western Bulgarian village of Gorna Malina.
