A charity concert was held over the weekend in the Rivne Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to benefit children who suffer from spinal muscular atrophy.

The event was held on Sunday, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Pimen of Rivne, with the participation of Fr. Alexander Klymenko, winner of the Ukrainian version of the Voice in 2017, and Galin Kuryshko, a Voice contestant this year, reports the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

The hall was filled to capacity with people from all across the diocese, Archpriest Vasily Nachev, head of the Rivne Diocese’s Social Department, noted.

The event managed to raise $3,650 (100,000 UAH), which will be divided between the two infants for whom the concert was arranged.
