Cupolas renovated for Burlingame church’s 70th anniversary (+VIDEO)

The Church of All Russian Saints (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) in Burlingame, California, is preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its founding this year.

The church will greet this important date with cupolas looking good as new. The five domes adorning the church were completely repainted and regilded in less than two months, reports the ROCOR Western American Diocese.

36,000 sheets of 24k gold leaf and 132 stars were applied to the domes. Altogether, the project cost $160,000, which was the exact amount the parish had in its stewardship fund.
