The award-winning film Man of God, about the great hierarch and wonderworker St. Nektarios of Aegina will finally hit American theaters in March.

However, it will only be in theaters for one day.

In response to a question on the film’s official Facebook page, admins announced that Man of God will be shown in theaters nationwide on March 21. More information and tickets will be online February 4.

It also took home the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival in May, and it topped Greek and Cypriot box offices when it was released there in August.

In the fall, it took home the Best International Film Award from the Siena International Film Festival and the Grand Prize in the Spirit of Faith at the Religion Today International Film Festival in Trento, Italy.

Yeah its kinda weird its only for 1 day. The way these things usually work is, its a lot of overhead to get the theater setup, the speakers properly adjusted, etc to show a a movie. To go through all that to only show the movie for 1 day sounds like you're basically guaranteeing that not only will profits not be made off the film, but that it'll actually be guaranteed a financial loss. Now we have two good movies the past year: DUNE and this one coming up

Do we know WHY it’s only being released for one day?
