On Saturday, June 4, more than a dozen adults were baptized into Christ in a south London parish.
That day, 14 adult catechumens were baptized with the blessing of Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain (Patriarchate of Constantinople) at the Church of St. Nektarios in the Battersea neighborhood, the diocese reports.

The Sacrament was celebrated by Protopresbyter Christodoulos Christodoulou and Archimandrite Nephon Tsimalis.
11 adults were baptized at the same parish in March, and about 50 overall have been united to Christ after completing the Archdiocese’s weekly 6-month catechism course.
The newly-illumined attended the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Divine Wisdom in Bayswater on Sunday and communed of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ for the first time.
