On Saturday, March 26, nearly a dozen adults were baptized into Christ in a south London parish.

That day, 11 adult catechumens were baptized by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain (Patriarchate of Constantinople) at the Church of St. Nektarios in the Battersea neighborhood, the diocese reports.

The new Orthodox Christians are from diverse backgrounds, including British, Greek, Swedish, and Portuguese. They were baptized and chrismated upon completion of Archdiocese’s Discover Orthodoxy online catechism program.

A total of 17 people who completed the second phase of the catechism have been received into the Church, and the third phase is already underway.

Good morning, I'd like to become a member of the Greek Orthodox church, I am a catholic but feel a bit distant from the catholic church. Please advise me on what I need to do. Best wishes, Marija
